High Personal Productivity

I regularly accomplish up to 50% more than most people without working extra hours.

But it wasn't always that way for me...

It used to be that - although I pretty much got everything done - I worked a lot of hours.  I mean a lot.  There were many days when I'd come into work by 8:00 in the morning, work hard until about 6:00 or 6:30 in the evening, go home for dinner, and then go back to the office at around 8:00pm and work until 11:30 or even midnight.

It was exhausting.  I wasn't living a very healthy lifestyle back then.  And worst of all, I never seemed to make progress.  The work kept coming and the problems never went away.  It took a huge toll on my marriage and frankly, I wasn't enjoying life very much.

And to make matters even worse, I had constant stress.  I don't mean pressure to get things done.  I mean STRESS.  Constant business challenges, barely enough money to keep going, too little sleep, too many distractions...

I wish I knew then what I know now...

You see... The key to getting a lot done is not to keep "going and going and going and..."  Working longer hours isn't really the key to accomplishing more.  When you understand and apply the right strategies to become highly productive, you'll see how you can accomplish more in the same or even less time then you did before.

Being productive is an interesting thing.  Lots has been written about it.  People develop systems - sometimes elaborate systems - to accomplish it.  But the outcome for most people is the same - overload.

I've tried pretty much all of the typical strategies for becoming highly productive.  I've tried the prioritized list approach, making a list of all the tasks I want to accomplish and then classifying them as A,B & C, and then further prioritizing them as A1, A2, A3, B1, etc.  Sometimes it felt that more of my day was spent preparing the list just right than getting the tasks done!

I've used reminders in my calendar software (like Outlook and Act) to keep me on track and make me more productive. I even tried scheduling each hour of my calendar in an effort to keep me on track.

But the bottom line is that although making lists, leveraging technology, and smart use of your calendar will help, they don't help all that much.

There are some ways you can utilize those tools in smarter ways, but the keys to true high productivity lie elsewhere.  You see, the strategies to become highly productive are counter-intuitive.  In other words, the intuitive strategies - the ones that logically would seem to work - aren't the best strategies for becoming highly productive.  (Counter-intuitive strategies are ones which on the surface seem like they would detract from productivity, but in fact increase it.)

I'm not saying that proper time management, prioritization, and lists aren't effective.  I use these tools all the time.  But what I am saying is that they play a relatively small role in being really productive.

When you apply these counter-intuitive productivity strategies you will:

  •   Get 20%-30% more accomplished every day without working any more hours

  •   Reduce stress so that you enjoy your work more even though you'll be more intense

  •   Have more time out in the field finding new prospects or working with existing
       clients or agents

  •   Be more accurate, work more quickly, and feel more positive than ever before

  •   Become more creative in solving problems and reaching your goals

Let me clear something up right up front...

The key to accomplishing everything I've mentioned has nothing to do with having more self-discipline.

(Having a bit more self-discipline can make a big difference in your results, but that's not what this program is about...)

"What if You Could Accomplish
20%-30% More Each Day in the Same Amount of Time?..."

Virtually every client I work with wants more from their business and their life.  They want to "fire on all cylinders" - to be efficient, dynamic, and effective.  Basically, they want to be highly productive.  But they struggle with achieving it.  That's why I am offering this program.

In this 90 minute program, I'm going to share these counter-intuitive secrets for being highly productive.  Once you understand these strategies and apply them, you will experience a jump in your productivity.  Each of my clients who has embraced these strategies has experienced this jump.  And it's not a gradual increase -- it's a JUMP.

I am going to share with you a variety of strategies you can use throughout the day to literally accomplish up to 30% more than you used to.

I've distilled these strategies into four areas:

  1. Time Leverage

  2. Time Management

  3. Self Leverage

  4. Self Management

  • Time Leverage pertains to the ability to leverage our efforts to make them more productive and more efficient

  • Time Management pertains to the ability to manage how and where we spend our time each day.

  • Self Leverage pertains to the ability to leverage or "duplicate" ourselves

  • Self Management pertains to the ability to manage ourselves, or more specifically manage certain things we do to and for ourselves.

Remember, these strategies don't rely on "self-discipline", "prioritized lists", or better use of your calendar.

All those things can help, but frankly, I don't consider myself to be very self-disciplined.  I don't use prioritized lists.  I tried that, but it didn't work for me.  And I certainly use a calendar, but I don't get all crazy and plan out each 15 minute time slot of my day.  (I don't even plan out each hour of my day.)

And yet, I truly accomplish more than almost anyone else I know.
And I do it in less than 40 hours a week.

"Every time we talk you seem to have a dozen major initiatives underway.  I haven't seen many people more productive than you.  And still - you have time to play!  There's no question, your approach to high productivity works."

Here are just some of the things I cover in this program:

  • How to get out of the "Time Management" trap
Ever been frustrated by trying to stick to time management techniques like creating prioritized lists or detailed calendar planning?  That's because they don't work!  But I'll teach you what does work.

  • How to Effectively Delegate
You'd be amazed at the tasks you can delegate and even more amazed at the kinds of things people delegate but shouldn't.  I'll show you how to get it right.

  • How to Deal With Interruptions
We all have them: Interruptions.  Phone calls, emails, drop-ins...  You can't "manage" them (after all they ARE interruptions), but I'll show you some techniques that allow you to get your work done in spite of them.

  • How to be and STAY intensely productive for the ENTIRE day
    (no more mid-afternoon crashes!)
I'll share my secrets to getting intense, and staying intense throughout the day, every day.

  • How to Avoid Emotional Peaks and Valleys
Nothing screws up a good work plan like an emotional setback.  And just as disruptive are emotional highs.  I'll show you how to avoid both extremes.  (Without the use of drugs!)

"Michael's ideas and perspectives have allowed me to put the challenges that come along into perspective and have helped me to stay focused on my goals and the things that matter most to my success.  I have never been more productive in my career."

Robin Winters, District Manager, Farmers Insurance

"Whenever I'm in need of a really practical idea in my business, I always call on Michael.  And when I speak with him, I find not only does he have just the idea to assist me, he's created a raft of new ideas for himself that he is in the process of implementing.  His productivity is amazing!."
