
Personal PerformancePeak personal performance comes from a combination of doing the right things in the right way while getting out of our own way. When we're functioning at peak levels, we get more done in less time. We're able to avoid burnout, create more discretionary time to enjoy life, and have the energy to enjoy the life we've created. It's a win-win on all levels. Doing the Right Things in the Right Way: In order to reach our personal best, we need to be at our peak physically, emotionally, mentally, and inspirationally. In addition, we need to learn to manage our feelings of stress, manage our attitude, hone our leadership skills and communicate effectively. Getting Out of Our Own Way: But the real challenge - the thing that most often keeps us from achieving what we want - is that we sometimes undermine our own success. Generally we do this subconsciously or unconsciously, and as such are often blind to the fact that we're doing it at all. It affects our actions, our words, our thinking, and how we interact with others. Our ability to move past where we are also relies on how we see ourselves and our level of belief; it is governed by our self-image and our level of self-confidence. |
